Applications Developed at NIC, Akola

                                                                                                                   

A. Electoral roll for Assembly Search Yojana (EASY) :

 

 

Developed Search Module “EASY” for easy & fast retrieval of Voter’s name from the Electoral Roll. Through this application, the voters can search the Serial Number, Part Number, Polling Booth Number/Name..etc with AND/OR facility. Besides this we have taken care in adding Auxiliary Polling Station Nos. in the database.

The s/w saves lot of time of common person while searching his name in voter's list. Also one can find duplicate records very easily.

Also we had established Helpline for the same. So that users can call at helpline centre & within a second he gets all above-mentioned details.

We have also helped other districts in implementing the same.

 

B. Development of District Court Web Site :

NIC Akola district centre has developed the web site of District & Session Court of Akola. Hon. Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Shri Dalveer Bhandari Inaugurated the Web Site on 12th March, 2005 at Akola. The URL is http://akola.nic.in/judiciary/index.htm.

C. Random Team Allotment system

 

S/w Developed in Visual FoxPro. It allots polling team members to polling Station randomly.  So that no one can predict to which polling station which team will   be allotted.    It has been developed for Election 99, considering the guidelines of Election Commission. Successfully done Randomization of Polling Staff deployment for Assembly election.

 

       D. Ballot Paper Accounting System:

 

The software developed in Visual Basic 6.0 as a front end & MS access as a back end. This software was developed for Election 99. It had been implemented at each block level. It generates Ballot Paper Account for voter turnout Form No.16 and it maintains Presiding Officer’s Diary. Also it generates A05 Form prescribed by Election Commission. And it had been found very effective in Ballot Paper Accounting at the time of counting the Ballot Papers.

 

 E.  Counting Monitoring System:

 

Developed Excel based result sheets for Assembly Election. Using the same after entering the table-wise & round-wise data all other reports formats asked by election commission are generated automatically. It has speedup the counting process.

At the time of counting of Ballot Papers of Election99, Excel based software was developed. The data entry sheets were designed to enable the end users to enter Table wise, Candidate & Round wise results of counting. And it generates online A07, A08, P07, and P08 & P09 Forms as defined by Election Commission.

Computerized the counting process of GE2004. Excel based sw was designed for smooth generation of all election related forms including P07,P08 assembly wise & P09 for Parliament. For this task extensive training was given to ARO & RO staff members.

 

        F. Counting Software for Akola Municipal Corporation:

 

At the time of counting of Ballot Papers of AKOLA City Corporation Election, Excel based software was developed. The data entry sheets were designed to enable the end users to enter Table wise, Candidate & Round wise results of counting. And it generates online Forms as defined by State Election Commission.

 

     Only because of it the counting procedure concluded much earlier than expected.

 

Training Activities carried out at NIC, Akola

 

Through out the year training programmes / workshops were carried out by NIC, Akola regarding different S/w's. Viz. LMIS, Payroll, Record Room Information System (RRIS), Internet, Linux, DB2, Windows OS, …etc.

 

Also training of web based appilactions of Zilla Parishad, APMC, Nagar Palikas, EGS dept., Health Department …etc are carried out through out the year.
