ENTERTAINMENT DUTY BRANCH

Entertainment Duty Branch is headed by Assistant Entertainment Duty Officer, its office in charge is Resident Deputy Collector, Akola. Additional Collector Akola is Controlling Officer of the branch.

This branch performs under the Bombay Entertainment Duty Act,1923. Assessment and Collection of Entertainment Duty are the major functions of the branch.

Entertainment Duty is levied on Cinema Theaters, Videos, V.D.O. Parlours, Pool Games, Amusement Parks, Cable connections etc.

v Direct to Home (DTH)

Television sets which receives Radio frequency signals for exhibition of films or moving pictures or series of pictures with the aid of a set top box or any other apparatus attached to it for securing transmission through DTH broadcasting service at the rates specified for the area as shown below :-
